Event Category:
CGSS - Event

The symposium is a great opportunity for both new and current students to learn about the innovative research that goes on in our department, and for students to share their research! This event will feature a free continental breakfast and BBQ lunch for all attendees, as well as a plenary lecture by Prof. Jolene Reid.

UBC Chemistry Gratudate students are encouraged to present their work. Undergraduate students and postdoc researchers are also welcome to present. All poster presenters must register to present by Friday Sept. 17th. Register here> The top three student poster presentations will receive awards. Postdoc presenters will not be considered for these awards.

Those who wish to attend the GRS without presenting: no registration is necessary, simply mark your calendars!

GRS Event Details:

Current plans are to have the event in-person. The recent BC public health order requires that proof of at least one Covid-19 vaccination be given to attend all organized gatherings after September 13th. This public health order will apply to the GRS. For more information, see here>. Face masks are also required for all public indoor spaces.

It is possible that future pandemic restrictions will prohibit an in-person gathering altogether. The GRS planning committee is monitoring the situation and will pivot the event to an online platform if necessary. More details regarding the GRS will be released soon.

We hope to see everyone there!
