UBC Chemistry Bootcamp Fuels Team Canada's Success at International Competition

Students representing Team Canada have made an incredible mark at the prestigious International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), earning one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. Widely recognized as one of the world's most challenging and respected chemistry competitions, the IChO brings together the brightest young chemists from more than 92 countries.

This year, Team Canada delivered its strongest performance since 2011, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication on the global stage. Their success was supported in part by a 10-day chemistry training camp led by Dr. Guillaume Bussière, Associate Professor of Teaching in the UBC Department of Chemistry.
