Abstract

Two novel diterpenoids, chromodorolides A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from skin extracts of the tropical dorid nudibranch Chromodoris cavae. Complete NMR assignments are presented for chromodorolide A (1). The structure of chromodorolide B (2) has been solved by spectroscopic analysis. Chromodorolides A (1) and B (2) are the first examples of diterpenoids with the highly rearranged chromodorane carbon skeleton.
