UBC-CAR: Centre for Aerosol Research

Aerosols influence many areas of our daily life. As suspensions of solid or liquid particles in a gas they appear in many different forms such as clouds, fog, dust, fume, or smog. They affect the global climate and as air pollutants the visibility as well as our health, but they are also used in high-technology material processing and for the administration of therapeutic drugs. UBC-CAR brings together UBC researchers that work in the field of aerosol sciences and offers a broad education program for graduate students and postdocs.

For questions on graduate studies and postdoctoral stays please contact Profs. Ruth Signorell and Allan Bertram or other members of the aerosol research groups listed to the right.

The UBC Centre for Aerosol Research is affiliated with the NSERC CREATE Atmospheric Aerosol Program.
