Abstract

{The reaction of 2,3-dihydro-3-hydroxy-2,2-tetramethylene-4H-benzoxazin-4-one, 2, and diethyl ether-boron trifluoride yields the difluoroboron chelate 2,2-difluoro-4,4-tetramethylene-1,3,5-trioxa-3a-azonia-2-borata-2,3,4,5- tetrahydro-1H-cyclopenta[a]naphthalene, 6, in high yield. There are two crystal forms of 2: 2a, triclinic, P1BAR
