The annual Faculty of Science "Beyond First Year" event was held on Monday, February 28th in the Life Sciences Centre, attracting several hundred first year students seeking information about possible career and degree choices. Many changes are afoot in Chemistry - and interest was very high amongst the army of frosh seeking information. New specifics for the Major and Honours programs in Chemistry, as well as the announcement of the newly minted Combined Honours in Chemical Biology provided much for students to discuss with Professors Gordon Bates and Jennifer Love, as Chemistry Undergraduate Society representative.
