Abstract:

When we irradiate molecules, a variety of dynamical processes are induced, such as multiphoton ionization, ultrafast structural deformation, and Coulomb explosion, which could not happen if the light field intensities are weak so that molecules absorb only one photon. In the past twenty years, researchers have developed a variety of experimental and theoretical approaches to clarify the mechanisms of the complex phenomena occurring in the femtosecond and attosecond time domains. In this talk, I will introduce the exciting research area of ultrafast intense laser science by referring to our recent studies.
