Abstract | Molecular-dynamics simulations are used to investigate the dynamical properties of a ferroelectric nematic liquid crystal. The results are also relevant to electrorheological fluids and to ferrofluids. Translational and rotational diffusion constants parallel and perpendicular to the director are reported and discussed. Dipole-dipole reorientational correlation functions are calculated and compared with theoretical models. |
