Work Experience

Co-op

Co-operative Education combines academic learning with practical, supervised work experience in partner organizations. A Co-op program is available for Chemistry students, designed to prepare motivated and qualified individuals for research careers in industry through 16 months of work placements under the guidance of experienced professionals. Students typically apply during their second year and begin their first work term in Term 2 of third year.

Go Global and Chemistry Programs

Chemistry programs work well with Go Global exchanges, with third year being the ideal time for a winter session study abroad experience. The table below highlights some highly ranked Chemistry departments that students may want to consider for their exchange.

Students interested in an exchange are strongly encouraged to connect with the Chemistry Undergraduate Advisor during Term 1 of second year. This allows time to plan the best timing for your exchange and identify which credits can be completed abroad.
