Abstract

The normalized fluctuations were reformulated in a unified manner, keeping the number of molecules in each coarse grain fixed. The normalized fluctuations were evaluated for aqueous 2-butoxyethanol using the existing data of chi(T), C-p, alpha(p), and V-m. The partial molar fluctuations of 2-butoxyethanol were then calculated. These quantities added some more evidences to the mixing schemes in aqueous 2-butoxyethanol conjectured earlier in this laboratory.
