The liquid nitrogen dispensing unit requires an electronic fob to activate it. This fob is associated with individual users and a Worktag for billing purposes. Users wanting to have access to the liquid nitrogen dispensing unit will need to be trained and be approved by their supervisors before receiving a fob to activate the system.
The training consists of three steps:
1. Self-Guided Learning
- Read and become familiar with the contents of the Standard Work Procedure (SWP) for the liquid nitrogen dispensing system.
2. Theoretical Test
- Complete the online theoretical test to assess your understanding of the SWP. After completing this test, you will be contacted to schedule a practical training session.

3. Practical Training Session
- Upon successful completion of the theoretical test, users will be invited (via email) to participate in an in-person training session hosted by the Mechanical Engineering Services team. These sessions will be scheduled regularly.
Information for Supervisors
Once a team member has successfully completed all training requirements, you will receive an email notification. To authorize their use of the system, please reply to that message confirming:
- That the individual is approved to operate the dispensing system.
- The Worktag that should be associated with their fob.
