Congratulations Raksha Kandel!

Raksha Kandel (PhD student in the MacLachlan group) won first prize for her poster at the International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry (ISMSC) held June 25-29, 2023 in Reykjavik, Iceland. The photo shows Raksha receiving her award from Sir J. Fraser Stoddart, 2016 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry.

Russ Algar Receives the 2023 PerkinElmer Analytical Sciences and Spectroscopy Award

Professor Russ Algar has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 PerkinElmer Analytical Sciences and Spectroscopy Award.

This award is given to a Canadian Scientist for significant achievements in the fundamental development of instrumentation or techniques, or for the novel application of spectroscopy, spectrometry or analytical sciences to analytical problems in industry, medicine, the environment, or related fields.

At the CHEM 449 & RLE Reception, Takeo Iwase and Jared Litman received the Michael Fryzuk Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Chemistry Research Award for their outstanding contributions towards undergraduate research in the department.

Dr. Andrea Terpstra receives 2022/23 Killam Teaching Prize

Congratulations Zac Hudson!

Congratulations to Associate Professor Zac Hudson for being a recipient of the the Charles A. McDowell award!

Dr. Hudson’s research on optoelectronic materials spans the fields of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, polymer science, and nanomaterials. He works with other researchers in chemistry, engineering and the life sciences to bring his lab’s discoveries to life in functional devices, fluorescent analyses or new chemical transformations.

Mia Stankovic Awarded a Tyler Lewis Green Research Foundation grant
